| We are a small two-family run
business. Our goal is to provide you with the best fishing trip you have
ever had – period. To this end we customize each trip to make sure you and us have fun in a very special place. Scott Blackwell & Jeff Coughenour Partners, High Desert Drifters Guides & Outfitters, LLC. |

Jeff Coughenour started fly fishing the lower Deschutes in 1990 and has been guiding since 1996. Whether you’re looking to land your first Deschutes steelhead or catch that 20 incher in a tight back eddy with a size 20 dry fly, Jeff will make sure that you have fun and that your day is exciting! He is a patient instructor and knowledgeable teacher willing to share his dedication and passion for guiding and fly fishing. Jeff spends winters on ski patrol at Mt. Bachelor and is a WEMT. Jeff’s days off are spent introducing his 2 year old son to the outdoors. | |

Mark Cornwell brings a diverse body of experience to the lower Deschutes. A veteran whitewater boater, Mark loves spending time in and on the river with guests. Hooked on the lower Deschutes since the mid 90’s, Mark is passionate about the quality of the fishery as well as the on shore experience of guests in the canyon. In the off season Mark teaches wilderness medicine and enjoys working on ski patrol at Mt. Bachelor. Trained as a WEMT and Swiftwater rescue technician, we are confident that Mark’s presence will make your days and nights afield safe and enjoyable. |
